This print, originally a Mother's Day gift from Mark to his wife, relates in a powerful way the height and depth of God's love for each individual as family members' names are "engraved" in the crucified Christ's hands. What a wonderful way to be reminded of a most important truth which inspires encouragement for today and hope for tomorrow.
This work of art is intended to be a daily reminder of one of the awesome promises of God. Through faith in what Jesus has done for us on the cross, we can be assured that God will never forget us (Isaiah 49:15), never leave us (Deuteronomy 31:6), and never let us go (1 Corinthians 1:8-9, 2 Corinthians 1:21-22). He even went so far as to say that He has engraved our names on the palms of His hands (Isaiah 49:16). John 10:27-30 also tells us:
"My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father's hand. I and the Father are one."
What wonderful promises! When you display one of these prints in your home, you are making a precious statement to your family about the awe inspiring, unconditional love of God. They will have a visual and personal reminder of God's love for them every day! An added bonus will be the many chances to share your faith with any visitors to your home as they come face to face with the love of God.
